Weyerhaeuser profit and sales miss forecasts
Weyerhaeuser Co.’s WY third-quarter sales and profit fell well short of expectations, as the company encountered headwinds from weather, trade policy and volatile wood-products markets. The Seattle forest-products company reported net income of $255 million, or 34 cents a share, for the quarter, up from $130 million, or 17 cents a share, a year earlier.
