Spanish giants Real Madrid have released a unique video montage of Cristiano Ronaldo after it was confirmed that the Portugal international would join Juventus this summer.

The 33-year-old officially ended his nine-year spell in the Spanish capital on Tuesday, with both clubs confirming that a deal had been agreed following talks with Juventus president Andrea Agnelli at Ronaldo’s hotel in Greece.

The former Manchester United and Sporting CP forward will sign a four-year contract in Turin ahead of the new Serie A season, becoming the Old Lady’s seventh signing of the summer as they look to challenge for the Champions League.

Following the announcement of his departure, Real Madrid released a six-minute long tribute to their record goalscorer, showcasing some of Ronaldo best moments during his long career with Los Blancos.

Perhaps most fitting was their decision for Ronaldo’s final goal in the montage, which was released on social media, opting to include his famous overhead kick in last season’s Champions League against Juventus.

“These years in Real Madrid, have been possibly the happiest of my life,” Ronaldo said in a statement after his move to Juventus was confirmed. “I have enormous gratitude for the club and for the city. I can only thank them for the love and affection I received.

“However, I believe that the time has come to start a new chapter in my career, therefore I have submitted a transfer request to the club. This is how I feel, and I hope the fans can understand this.

“I have reflected a lot and I know that the time has come for change. I’m leaving, but this shirt, this crest, and the Santiago Bernabeu will continue to feels these things wherever I am.”
