An inquiry into last year’s Grenfell Tower fire which killed 72 people has begun.

In the opening session in London on Monday, friends and family of those who died paid tribute to the victims and survivors will tell how they managed to escape.

There is some controversy surrounding the inquiry, but many people hope it will answer the questions on everybody’s minds since the tragedy occurred.

Al Jazeera’s Jonah Hull reports from London.
