Italy‘s new ruling coalition has won a crucial trust vote in the upper chamber of parliament.
The alliance of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement (M5S) and the right-wing League party will now seek support in the lower house where it has a majority.
A win there will empower the government, led by political unknown Giuseppe Conte, to carry out its anti-immigration agenda.
