Madison Square Garden Co. reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $189.6 million, or $7.96 per share, up from $57.7 million, or $2.39 per share, year-over-year. Revenue was $536.3 million, up from $445.2 million last year. The FactSet consensus was for EPS of $2.11 and revenue of $523.0 million. MSG Entertainment was up 41% to $271.2 million due to increases at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, the Forum, the Garden and The Chicago Theatre. The company also had higher ticket sales for the Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes. MSG Sports revenue was up 5% to $265.1 million. Madison Square Garden shares are unchanged in Friday premarket trading, but up 24.4% for the last year.
