France is hosting a meeting on Tuesday between rival Libyan political factions to try and end seven years of conflict.

The emphasis will be on committing to UN-backed presidential and parliamentary elections by the end of this year.

There will be a push to unify the army and adopt a newly drafted constitution too.

Al Jazeera’s Mahmoud Abdelwahed reports from Tripoli.
