Russia investigations on the Hill: Where things stand

Multiple committee investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign will continue to push forward as Congress returns this week. Here’s where things stand and what to watch for in the next few days: House Intelligence Committee Members of the House Intelligence Committee are hoping to get back to work after chairman Devin Nunes withdrew himself from the panel’s Russia investigation amid ethics complaints. The panel, whose Russia work is now headed by Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX), announced Friday that it invited FBI Director James Comey and Admiral Mike Rogers to appear for a closed door hearing on May 2. The committee also invited former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates to testify in an open setting sometime after May 2.
