Boot Barn Holdings Inc. shares soared more than 10% in the extended session Tuesday after the company beat earnings expectations. Boot Barn stock gained 2.1% during the regular session and closed at $21.96. The company reported fourth-quarter net income of $6.9 million, or 24 cents a share, compared with $2.6 million, or 10 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted earnings were also 24 cents a share. Revenue rose to $170.8 million from $163 million in the year-ago period. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated earnings of 18 cents a share on revenue of $163.6 million. For the fiscal first quarter, analysts model earnings of 7 cents a share on sales of $151.5 million. The company said it expects earnings of 10 cents to 12 cents a share for the first fiscal quarter. Boot Barn stock has gained 32% this year, with the S&P 500 index rising 2.1%.
