AMC’s Stubs A-List has added over 175,000 new members since its launch 5 weeks ago, company says
Movie subscription program AMC Stubs A-List has enrolled more than 175,000 members since its launch five weeks ago, AMC Theatres announced Tuesday. AMC Theatres is a subsidiary of AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. . The company said it initially expected A-List, which charges a monthly fee of $19.95 to watch three movies a week, to hit 500,000 A-List members one year from the launch. “The growth of AMC Stubs A-List has far exceeded our projections,” AMC CEO and president Adam Aron said, adding that the subscription service was designed “to be a profitable program with a price point that is loaded with consumer value while also being sustainable for us and for our guests.” AMC shares have gained 5.1% so far this year, while the S&P 500 has gained 5.2%.
